Macro recorder is hanging and I cannot stop it!

Hi,

Normally when I press F11 to start and stop a macro it works brilliantly. However now I have a problem today where I can start a Macro recording but cannot stop it and PL/SQL Developer hangs and I have to use Windows Task Manager to restart it, at whih point the problem happens again! I wonder whether I may have left it running accidentally and something has overflowed somewhere?

Please could you urgently advise how to fix this issue please?

Kind Regards,

This has been happening for several versions, perhaps since 6. I find that CTRL-ALT-DEL can bring up the task manager. This will then allow you to return to the app and toggle the macro recorder back off.

Through remote desktop your can regain control by closing the session and logging back in. I have never known the macro recorder to work via remote desktop.

On a local execution of the app, the macro weirdness seem to happen when memory resources are running low, especially with multiple instances of the application running.

I do not recall experiencing this problem in versions 1 thru 5, though they may have happened.
