In the olden days (version 7/8), I was able to create a macro without needing an 'editor' window open. My requirement was to create a macro which opened 10 different files I needed for a particular support task. Now when I tried to create a macro to do this again (after upgrading to Windows7), I cannot create a macro. In fact, the macro 'record' is grayed out until I open an empty sql window (or some other type of window to "edit"). I tried to create a macro anyway, but PLSD is not recording my keystrokes (eg. alt, F, O, S, etc etc).
edit: I am not using PLSD over remote desktop or VPN.
