keyboard word navigation not working

I just installed 7.1.5.1398 on a new machine, and I'm having trouble with some shortcuts not working. For instance, ctrl+L/R arrow should move from one word to the next (the vi equivalent of w & b). I can use this shortcut elsewhere on the computer (in this very window, for instance), but I can't figure out how to make it work in plsd.

I remember this from a long time ago. You need to re-set your preference for the word navigation. Go to Tools/Preferences/Key Configuration. Then scroll to near the bottom of the list. Put back in your Editor: Word Left and Editor: Word Right keys. I don't know why this happens, but it does.

Thanks, that worked. I guess that's so you can make the editor work more like vi? I would have assumed that word navigation like that was handled by the OS, rather than the app.
