Impossible to retrieve view code

I've got a strange problem. Whene I try to edit or just view some views (not the result, the code !), the program hangs, and I've to kill him after

When exactly does it hang? When you type the code? When compiling the view? When querying the view?

mytables means a lot of tables or just one?

If there is a lot of tables, then of course there will be perf. loss, and that's then not developer...

Hi,

No, I don't *query* the datas, I'm just trying to get the sql code of the view :

- My view is already created and is properly working
- In the "Object" list, I click right, and then choose 'View' or 'Edit'

--> No response, and I have to kill PLS Developer.

In DBA studio, no problem to get the sql code of the view, that's why I think the problem comes from PL/SQL Developer.

I've got the same problem when I try to get the excution plan for a query to my view (no, I don't *execute* the query ;-) )

I have to add that it works well with most of my views. It's only with 2 I've this problem.

I've installed the new release (6.0.6.946), and I still have have the same problem.

Is it supposed to be fixed with this release ?

No, with the upcoming 7.0 release. We only released 6.0.6 for 10g Release 2 compatibility. It was not originally planned.

We specifically upgraded to Version 7.0.3.1123 to overcome this problem but we are still finding it happens. We work with a lot of views so find this particularly frustrating. Is it possible to revisit this bug?
