clicking on help in the Preferences dialog and having the help popup displaying the section for the area I am looking at (i.e. if I am on User Interface / Code Assistant and click Help I'd like the pdf to open at the CA section).
I sure do miss...

This works fine for me. Are you using version 11.0?

I am using 10.0.5 and when I click the help button on the pdf opens and it is positioned at the title page. it doesn't seem to matter what settings page I am on in the Preferences dialog, the pdf opens at the title page.
Acrobat version is Adobe Reader XI

In version 11 we use an internal PDF viewer which should always display context sensitive information.
