How to sort table and view columns in popup menu

PL/SQL Developer has a "smart-sense" feature so that when I type a table or view name in a SQL window and press ".", the Code Assistant (I believe that's the correct name) presents a popup menu with the columns from which I can choose one. However, I need that list sorted alphabetically rather than displayed in the order the columns appear when doing a table/view Describe. I have searched Tools-Preferences, Help, and the forum and cannot discover a setting to accomplish this.

As a bonus, I used to see the choice appear in the popup menu to select all columns currently displayed but it has disappeared.

Using Developer ver 11.0.3.1770. Windows 10.

The Code Assistant has a little "sort" button at the lower left that switches between physical order and alphabetical order. The button state is persistent.
