How to make smart indent work in column marking mode?

I am using the editor setting Indent = Smart.
I am editing some code and use column marking (left Alt + mouse marking) to mark some code. If I use Tab to move the code to the right, the tab size is always 2 (or another fixed step size).
If I should move the marked code e.g. 50 columns to the right to align it with some code on the line above, I have to press the Tab key 25(!) times.
How can I use smart indent in column marking mode?

In normal (non-column mark) editing, the smart indent helps me fulfill my task with pressing Tab maybe one or two times.

If the requested functionality is currently not available, please put it on the request list.
