How to handle Transparent Application Failover

We've been asked to support TAF in our application and I was wondering if anyone knows of any documentation or can offer advice on what we need to do to support TAF with DOA?

While Transparent Application Failover may be transparent in a lot of situations, you may still want to handle specific failover errors (ORA-25400 must replay fetch, ORA-25401 can not continue fetches, and so on). I am not aware of any documention about this though.
