How to connect to the a oracle hosted on the different server ?

Hello,
I am a new user of the DOA.
If I want to deploy an application with DOA, do I need any additional components (DLL) in order to access Oracle.
assumption: a user desktop does not have an Oracle client.

You will need to have an Oracle Client available. This can be a full client installation, or an Instant Client which is just a bunch of files that can be copied to the PC.

Can someone please point me to the correct version and URL to download the instant client or the full client? I will be connecting to servers running Oracle 9.2.0.8 and Oracle 11 with pl sql developer. I have used this in the past but this new machine I'm on doesn't have any Oracle client software installed. Help.
