Hints-Naming Conventions

Is there any way that the naming conventions can be stored in a file. So that they can be distributed to a whole team so everyone uses the same conventions?

The naming conventions are stored with the preferences, and you can define and maintain a default preference set for your users. See chapter 16.33 "Preference sets" for more information, especially the "Default preferences" and "Preference set files and directories" paragraphs.
