Hangs when changing Language

I see there was a post 2 years ago about changing Language setting (Alt-Shift or Language bar) making PL/SQL Developer hang - it's still there in 8.0.1.1498.

Seeing as the last post I found was in 2008, I'm asking the question again - how to fix?

Right now, I have PL/SQL Developer wanting to run in US and I need UK and I can't see how to swap it back.

Quite a problem for me, because I quite often have to change language.
Bit of a show stopper.
Real shame, since this was looking like a good replacement for Toad.

Anyone resolved this. I don't know where the preferences are to fix it.
But more to the point, if I hit this again, will i have to scrape my prefences again?

hmmm - just switching between my default and System default appears to fix it, but I don't understand why or why it

Except it's doing it quite often and then I have to restart etc. And I can't figure out a simple workaround, appears I can flip it into the wrong Language by pasting something from an editor that is using US instead of English. Would appear one way to resolve this is to only have one valid Language andthen switching isn't possible and it's not so much of a problem.

But in a multi-national company in Europe, that's not so easy.
