Graphic Template

I store my graph definition as template, but I cannot figure out how to use a template for later use.
How can I change the default template?

The Graph button has pulldown list which contains various formats, including "From template".

This is correct, but when I click "From template" I do not get any template selection, but always the default template.

The template is associated with field names (x axis and y axis) of the query. When you save a layout as a template, it will be reused later for graphs with the same axes.

Ok, now I understand.
But it would also be nice to be able to change the default chart coloring and layout.
Is this possible?
