Why is Jobs not listed as "Object Type" in the Find Database Object dialog?

Because it is not an object in the SYS.ALL_OBJECTS view. This is a requirement.

I thought it was possible to look for jobs in earlier versions.
Or am I mistaken?

That is correct, but the "Find Database Objects" tools has been extended to support searching for specific criteria from the SYS.ALL_OBJECTS view.
