Can you please help.

I cannot use the File drop down on the menu to save a new file using "save as" or to perform any other options.

I can click on Toolbar buttons for "save as", but that does not work either.

Here are the elements that define my environment.

PL/SQL Developer Version 9.0.0.1601
Operating System: Ubuntu
Server: Linnux
Oracle 11g
Windows 2010 Professionel 32 bit

Hi Maggie,

I like Ubuntu, so I'm curious how this is set up and I don't understand yet. It looks like from the NX NoMachine website, that a person normally would have Windows on their desktop and remote into an Ubuntu machine at work. Is that correct?

If you remote into an Ubuntu operating system, it's my understanding you would need Wine to run PL/SQL Developer. Is that how you have it? Last I checked, version 9 was running OK with Wine, but I wonder if that's where the problem is.

When I work at home, I use Ubuntu and remote to my windows machine at work, but we use different software to remote in. That works OK. It looks to me that you do it the other way around though and remote to Ubuntu?

I'm just curious. Have a good day!

Mike
