I have a window list with room for 10 windows. I open 20 files in program windows. The scrollbar at the window list is now 'half'.
I now compile the first program window in the window list: everything goes OK.
I now scroll the window list to the last window (no. 20). When I compile or close this window, the full window list flickers and activates each of the 20 windows for a short period, probably to change icons or similar, but the full window list is traversed two or three times from the top to the bottom. The total show lasts for about 5 seconds. Compiling many windows in this manner can be quite time consuming.
Can this 'feature' be made optional in the Preferences?
