what about supporting the
"ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA= "
Command directly with an property in the Session-Component?

There are so many properties we could introduce which are the equivalent to a simple alter session statement. We decided not to go that way, though we have done so for some (sql trace, isolation level, optimizer goal).
