Feature Request: arrow key while something selected

I would like the following behaviour for the right/left arrow keys when something is selected

Please assume that the word 'selected' is selected (but not the single quotes). When I press the right arrow key I'd like the selected string to no longer be selected and the cursor to be between the d and '. If I do a left arrow while it is selected I'd like the selection to no longer be selected and the cursor to be between the ' and the s.

I have added this to the list of enhancement requests as an option. Most editors will move the cursor when a selection is active, but some will not. It should therefore be a preference.
