You can copy text from any message box (assuming that the text on the status bar was initially displayed in a message box). Just Right-Click on the message box and select "Copy as text".

Confirmed, this is new in 7.0.

You can copy text from windows default message boxes, no problem, just ctrl+c when box is active, but this doesn't seem to work PLSQLDev message boxes at least on 7.0.3 developer.
If PLSQLDev prev. versions used standard windows boxes, it should be possible...
