I and a lot of my co-workers here would also like to see a sort option on the window list. Being able to sort by name, window type (sql, test, explain, etc) or both would be awesome.

I would very interested in such a feature as well.

A possibility to sort project files would also be good (first the specs, then the bodies...).

look at the softema wlist plugin. this plugin does that already. make sure you have the latest version tho'.

I installed wList plugin. I can now see different colors and names, but - sorry if I'm stupid - how do we actually order the list?

"Enable reordering" does not seem to do anything. A right-click on the list does not display any new menu.

Thank you Marco. Obviously, I hadn't thought about a manual reordering.

In fact, both options would be interesting. After a restore with many open windows, for example, the previous sort is lost, so it would be good to be able to sort all the windows automatically (by type/subtype and name for example).

For Marco K. - Anyway, this may be an enhancement to make (or a bug?) to the restore feature (not) to keep windows ordering.
