Actual there is no possibility to change expired password. To change it you must use some extrernal tool for now.
I think its a good idea to add such a possibility.

If your password is expired, or is about to expire, PL/SQL Developer allows you to enter a new password at logon. Does this not work for you? If so, what exactly happens?

I got only message (with ok button) that password is expired.
No other window is displayed.
That's it.

I'm using predefined logins, I mean defined in preferences\fixed users or from \history.

Maybe this is an environment problem. Can you go to Help > About, press the 'Info' button, press the 'Copy all pages' button on this info screen, and paste this text into an e-mail reply?

Ok I know when window with new password doesn't occure - when I choose a predefined login from fixed users logins (pass is expired).
There will be only a massage that pasword has expired.
BUT, when I manualy enter the same login (without choosing it from drop down menu list - fixed users) there will appear window with re-new pass  .

Marco,

This is actually a very good request. I frequently don't want to wait until my password has expired before I change it. Would be nice to have a "Change Password" menu option.

The only way I know how to do this at the moment, is to navigate to my username in the "Users" section of the object browser, right-click and choose "Edit". This allows me to alter the current user's password. Either that or use SQL*Plus, or dare I say it "ribbit" T***.

Or am I missing some feature ?

D.

Oh so there is! Thanks! Didn't notice that one - must be fairly new.

Even so, it's a great feature which I think should be incorporated into the main app.
