Some may object to this, but I'd like it if clicking the middle mouse button on an item in the Window List would act the way that Shift-clicking works today and would close the window.
Web browsers do this when you middle-click on tabs, as do some text editors (Notepad++ is one). Apparently Windows 7 does something like it as well.
