Enhancement Request: Goto Bookmark

When I do Goto Line (ctl+g or the edit menu item) the result is that the desired line is displayed in the middle of the editor. This same behavior is observed using the Search Bar or Find.

When I do Goto Bookmark (right click or edit menu) the desired line is at the bottom of the editor. Then I have to scroll the window contents up.

I'd really like Goto Bookmark to work the same as Goto Line please.

I should clarify.

If the bookmark I want to go to is below where I am at it will display at the bottom of the edit window.

If the bookmark I want is above where I am at it will display at the top of the edit window.

A workaround is to always go to the Bookmark that is below the one I want and then go to the one I want, but that is as bad as scrolling the window contents in my book.

I remember that I have asked something similar, but I couldn't find it anymore...
Anyway, I also think that if you go to a bookmark, then the bookmark should come in the middle of the editor. Always!

Agreed. We'll enhance this.

When you go to a bookmark in version 11 Beta 3 using a right_click, the bookmark is placed in the middle of the editor. Very nice.

Alas, if you use the short cut "Ctrl-Q" + number, the bookmark is NOT placed in the middle of the editor.

Also, if you use the "Easy Bookmarks" plugin, you will notice the same behavior.

Could this be enhanced plz?

Are you sure? This works perfectly fine for me, and the menu item and function key use the exact same code.

I have tested it again, and found the issue:

When the "Easy Bookmarks" is not installed:

1) Press Ctrl_Q but hold the Ctrl (release the Q) and press a number. Nothing happens.
2) Press Ctrl_Q, then release the Ctrl and Q and press a number. Now it works correctly.

When the "Easy Bookmarks" is installed:

1) Press Ctrl_Q but hold the Ctrl. Now it happens.
2) Press Ctrl_Q, then release the Ctrl and Q and press a number. Now it works correctly.
3) Press Ctrl and a number. Now it happens.

So, you are right. I think it's the plugin that causes this issue.

I'm still somewhat sad that this useful functionality sits in a plugin and not in the product.
