editor background and keyword colours

Hi,

when you set the background of the editor ( preferences -> appearance -> background gradient: enabled on, default colours: off, vertical: off, colours 1 and 2 set to "button face" ), the colours that are set in preferences -> editor -> syntax highlighting all disappear. is this a bug or a feature?

i have a back ground colour set for when playing in production, to remind me that i like my job. when looking at code, all the syntax highlighting has headed west.

is there a way to bring it back?

I think for setting the background of the editor, you mean preferences -> appearance -> connection indicators -> Set editor background color.

I do the same, setting background color to red(-ish) for production databases, and I can still see syntax highlighting without a problem.

worker,

your right, i mean connection indicators. d'oh, Monday strikes again.

but i am still right ( half ). yes, the colours change for keywords and strings, but i have a background colour set for strings in editor settings.

really didnt explain myself properly i guess.

if you set a background colour for strings, let me know if it displays.

Gotcha. Yes, I can confirm that the background color for syntax highlighting does not display if you have an editor background color set by the connection indicators.
