Does not remember password when logging on

I open PLD in single-session mode. The new logon screen pops up (the hierarchical one). I move the cursor down to a recent user and press Enter. PLD always prompts for password, even when Logon history is set to Store with password. When I select a user in the 'classic' logon pop-up (the one with Username, Password, Database, and Connect as), I am not prompted for password. When I select a user from the logon history list, I am not prompted for password.
How can I make PLD remember the password for the selected user when I start up?

You need to go to Tools > Preferences > Oracle / Connection and enable the "Store with password" under the "Multiple Connections" section.

The Logon History preferences do not affect this, and are more or less obsolete when you use the Connection List extensively.
