DOA and .NET

We have been really happy working with DOA and the utilities in it, also in major projects.

We are now moving forward in our tools selection, and it seems like we are going the MS .NET way.

We have also been using TurboPower's products in many applications. They have now decided to go out of business. They don't state why on their web site, but my guess is that they don't think there is enough business to keep them alive.

Another of the products we have used a lot is TeeChart from Steema. They are just about to release a C# version of TeeChart.

What is Allround Automations going to do?

, we will keep on developing and supporting Direct Oracle Access. We are not sure yet how and when we will support .NET though.

I asked a similar question some months back. My reasoning was that MS is never going to do a native .NET provider framework that will show off all the neat features in Oracle-PL/SQL. Oracle now has ODP.NET, but judging from the relevant forum users are not too happy (no older client support, no collections, tables etc.). All this stuff is "being considered for future enhancements". Given Oracle's track record in this area, I think you still have opportunities here.
