Disable recent history from connections

Is there any way to disable recent history when I select a connection in the connection window?

Go to Tools > Preferences > Oracle / Connection and disable the "Store recent history" option.

 

thanks, although I keep getting confused in the Preference section.

Somehow, (suddenly) if I select Tools / Define connections.. and dialog for the current form is displayed rather than the list of connections. So I have no way of creating a new connection. Is there an option for this?

Is there any way to save the setup? I don't like the Windows + Templates panel.. but I don't like my desktop saved every time either - is there any way to hide the Windows + Templates?

When you have the setup as you want it (probably with no open windows), use Window -> Save layout
