I have some comments on the diagram window. Some of them may have been mentioned allready. I am using version 7.0.1.1066.
1) I still occasionally get misplaced tables, views and packages when printing. The groups and links are placed correctly. Reopening the diagram corrects the situation.
2) The align (all) to grid seems to be dependent on the view port of the canvas. I.e. the grid is relative to visible portion of the canvas instead the whole canvas. This means that aligning an object to the grid depends on the scroll bar position. Not what I would expect.
3) The movement of a group only includes the contained objects if the view port is to the upper left corner. I suppose this and the above points is related to mixed use of view port coordinates and absolute diagram coordinates.
4) Include the ability to save the diagram as a picture (gif, jpeg, bitmap or similar)
5) Include the ability to add notes and arrows
6) To be able to suppres the icon column. When including the type column, the icon is not needed. And it often gets to small to be readable.
7) A zoom function
8) Selecting a group and printing the selection in the print dialog made PL/SQL Developer hang for about five minutes. No messages, no printing, nothing. Beside correcting the inresponsiveness, it could be usable to actually print a selection.
9) Multiple select of objects and groups
10) Up until now, the scaling of the diagram to one page has been perfect to me. But I can image situation where I would like to print on f.ex. 1*2 pages or 2*2 pages.
11) Print the colouring of the primary key as in the diagram.
12) Perhaps the ability to suppress the column heading. When I'm just displaying the column and type, it is not needed. But I may need the screen real estate.
13) Include the name of the relations. The name should be manually positionable.
In general, I like the diagram window. It is simple, quick and easy as it should be.
