CTRL+click on the tab does not ask for saving changes

When you close an SQL file where are unsaved changes with a mouse left click on the cross of the tab or with CTRL+F4 you get a dialogue: "Save changes to ?"

But when you use CTRL+mouse left click on the tab (but not on the cross) - no questions asked - the file is closed.

I have done some nasty things because of this "feature"
Please do something about it.

Can you go to Preferences > User Interface / Options, click on the "DSA Dialogs" button, and check if the following line exists?

ForceCloseWindow=N

If it exists, remove it and try again. This would indicate that you selected the "Don't show this message again" option for the close confirmation dialog in the past.
