Crash Recovery

My computer crashed and I got the popup that recovery files were found and whether I wanted to recover them. But the date and time stamps were all question marks. Needless to say, it recovered nothing.

I've gotten used to relying on the crash recovery so have not been saving all my open windows regularly.

I'm just wondering where the recovery files are located and if there is anything I can do to them to recover my open windows.

The recovery files are located in %TEMP%\PLS-Recovery (e.g. C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\PLS-Recovery).
