I just defined four new connections yesterday, no crash, or problems, but today they are missing. The first two that I added (separately) are there.. anything I need to do to save the setup?
I have upgraded my laptop and am reinstalling PLSql Developer on it. Is there any way to capture my DB connecions from my original client (saved in an .ini file maybe ?) and use them in my newly installed client??
From the menu: Tools->Define Connections, then the dialog that comes up has Export and Import buttons on the right-hand side.
That's assuming you use the Connections panel. If you use the stuff in Tools->Preferences->Logon History->Fixed Users then I think you can just use copy&paste.
TY so much! I have one more question??
My new laptop is Windows 7 64 bit; our Oracle 12c database is 64 bit.
I only found the oracle client for 64 bit, but PLSql Dev only works on 32 bit client??
Please advise, as my new PLSql Dev installation cannot find my Oracle Home (and my tnsnames.ora file).
Alternatively you can wait for PL/SQL Developer 11.0.4 64bit, which is currently in Beta and was scheduled for December 2015 so should be released very soon.
