Had PL/SQL Dev (and several other products) running on w2k and oracle client 8.0.6 into oracle 7.2 (just don't ask!!) for sometime with no problems.
Upgraded to oracle client 8.1.7.0.0
When PL/SQL Dev fired up got ora12203 when logging in. All other products connect and run fine so tnsnames.ora seems to be ok.
Re-instaled PL/SQL dev now get ora12705. Tried replicating orant/network under orant/NET80 using the same tnsnames.ora in both places but still get the same problem.
Has anyone got any clues as to what to do next?
