If you reboot your system and the first thing you do is open PL/SQL Developer and it is either full screen or windowed and you click the minimize title bar button ("_") it doesn't do anything? Is the minimize button disabled and it wont let you click on it? Does it work after a fresh reboot and you loose the functionality over time?

Please provide more clear details about how to recreate this issue make sure you have tried to recreate this after a clean reboot maybe a step by step of what you did that recreates this on your system.

What version of PL/SQL Developer you are on.

I'd like to revive the thread, because the problem still exists.
The minimize button in the title bar ("_") can be clicked but to no effect. However you can move the main window around and click the maximize button (the two overlapping windows) and everything behaves normal.

The bugs seems to be reproducible in the following way:
1.) Open Header/Body of a Package
2.) Switch to another program
3.) If another user compiles changes to this package you get a prompt if you'd like to reload the package. If you switch back to the PL/SQL Developer, this Message-Box will sometimes not be brought to front, but instead is located behind the main window. You can grab the title bar and move the main window away so you can click the box but after you maximize the window again the bug appears.

I'm using version 12.0.3.1821 (32bit) of the PL/SQL Developer on Windows 10 (64bit).

Agreed. This has been happening to me for a few years now using PL/SQL Developer. VERY annoying, and a productivity killer - once it happens you cannot minimize PL/SQL developer, which makes it difficult to work on other windows/apps on the same monitor.

The only way to fix it is to close and restart, which is another productivity killer (I run my dev PC for weeks without restarting, and keep apps open configured a certain way for weeks as well, it takes a while to re-setup).

The above described process (1-3) will recreate it, I can confirm.

PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE AND FIX!

It's 2021 and it's still happening. We're using Version 8.0.1.1498. Is there any workaround at least to minimize? Thanks.
