cannot compile in some instances

I have tried to compile different packages but when I try to do it in Development I got a timeout and it says "No connected to Oracle".

I logon in a different INstance (CRP1) and I am able to compile the package without any changes.

I am using PL/SQL Developer 6.0.3.893 and Database Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.3.0 (Development)

Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.3.0 (CRP1)

What could be the problem?

Any chance they're large packages and you have Developer set to add the debugger information?

I believe that's the error I got when I had this set.
