Button New protected with password

I know that you are working on new release.
I have just a little request for enhancement and I think that you can do it with just a few lines of code in new release. It is about button New. Can you protect button New with the same way (same password ) as the button Edit Report? I think it is better to protect doing queries against database from end users. How it works now the one can make updates, deletes and other nasty things.
