These are for 5.1.3.704 running on Win 2k pro.
As with anything, no matter how good it is (AND PLSD IS GGGOOODDDD!!!!), there are bugs (or things that don't work as the user expects).
These have been observed in the 7 weeks that I have been using the product.
code contents:
- if i right click on the second definition of a procedure in a package and select test, the test
created is for the first version, not the one I selected
- with a package open and the body tab selected, the code contents shows which proc/func that I am
in. if i then click the sort button code contents no longer shows which I am in, until i move
the cursor or click in the edit window again
editor:
- while viewing the spec tab of a package, if i have a func and proc by the same name and i click
on the one that is defined second i am taken to the correct area in the editor, but then doing
a ctl-right click i am taken to the wrong place (the one that was defined first)
- if i have the popup window for table fields sized too big, sometimes when it pops up the top will
be hidden under the top of the editor window.
grids:
- for the right click item View for a table, on the indexes tab, if i resize the column field bigger
the scroll bar doesn't appear. this also happens on the checks tabs where by default the last change
column doesn't fully display and no scroll bar is present until i make another field bigger. if i
resize the adjcent field the scroll bar appears after the last field is almost pushed off the screen
misc:
- i added a new entry for the browser, but it doesn't appear
- new /index: i right clicked on a table and selecte new and then clicked on the index tab but there
are no fields listed when i click the '...'
- project open: though is isn't listed in the project items, a package from another project open
- sometimes if i click on the break button while stopped on a line in a debug row i end up back at
the test window on the line where i started my test and the Run and Step buttons are active and
nothing works. i end up having to ctl-alt-del and kill PLSD
sql window:
- explain plan button doesn't seem to use the auto select of statements and throws an error when 2
2 or more statements are in a sql window. if i manually select the statement and then do F5 it works
- explain plan strips off the trailing ';', whether one of many statements in the sql window
- should the export query results button (far right of window) be active when no query is entered,
let alone a result set is displayed?
test window:
- can not set a break point in the test window, even though it appears on the right click window. if
i set a break in the called proc/func and then step through until it returns to the test window
i can continue stepping through the remainder of the test lines
vcs:
- when i vcs / run componentsoftware rcs and it opens it is active on the taskbar, but not the
topmost window.
- vcs / open project, the project dropdown does not show all projects that are in the
componentsoftware document explorer. the revisions are current from either the plugin or the
explorer
