Now I see 6 main menu items to the left of Tools, they all say New (and they all execute Notepad++).

Now, if I select At End instead of Above and the six main menu items disappear and New appears at the end of Tools.

If I set it to Below, then there is one Main Menu entry to the right of Tools.

Also, is it "as designed" that when I specify "Toolbar button" and Image that the document doesn't automatically appear on the toolbar (I do see it in the list of available buttons when I go to Tools / Preferences / Toolbar)? If so, I request that the help file be updated to reflect that.

What I meant is that when I was configuring a tool I specified on the button tab and image for the button and checked the toolbar button chkbox and I expected that when I clicked OK that it would appear on the toolbar. I was confused when it didn't suddenly appear on the toolbar. It was only a while later that I thought to check Preferences / User Interface / Toolbar and the available buttons that I saw my new button.
