Bug Re-report: SQL Window not holding still

I just hate how the SQL Window *refreshes* and insists on changing where I looking (reminder, if I open a SQL Window and scroll using the thumb - so that the line with the cursor is no longer visible, after some little period of time when the window refreshes (what is it refreshing for?) the focus is changed from where I was looking back to where the cursor is).

I assume you are using the Auto Refresh function (auto refresh button in the status bar next to the indicators)? The SQL Window does not refresh without a reason.

Marco,
I have just reproduced this error.

I opened a SQL Window, opened a 64 line SQL in it, executed it, it had a failure and got a Result grid with (no result set), I went to the SQL Window and with the mouse moved the scroll thumb all the way to the bottom and waited - after a short while (less than a minute) the display changes so that the line with the cursor on it (line 1) is in view.

After writing the above I went back to verify the steps and found that while it does reproduce, the time interval seems to vary. But it does happen.

I checked this, and this turns out to be related to the Backup > Recovery preference settings. When window contents are saved for recovery, the cursor location scrolls into view.

We'll fix it.
