Block Selection problem

I found some curious "features"

A.1
1. select some text by holding down ALT - block select - where starting line is ABOVE ending line (drag mouse down)
2. go to Edit -> Selection -> UpperCase
3. All is fine and well

A.2
1. select some text by holding ALT - block select - where starting line is BELOW ending line (drag mouse up)
2. go to Edit -> Selection -> UpperCase
3. selected text disappears and an uppercased text is inserted over previously unselected text resulting in garbage

B
If I have some block selection and I hit hotkeys for uppercasing it, selection disappears and nothing happens - textcase does not change.
For normal selection it works ok.

I could reproduce both issues. We'll fix it.
