In Beta 8:
I don't use the Edit->Selection->Color Mark feature often, but I confirmed it doesn't work this way in V12.
In the Program or SQL editors, When I select a block of code, then in the context menu I choose Selection->Color Mark, I can see the Color Mark icon shows the same color (e.g. yellow) as the Ribbon Bar icon. But if I choose that context menu option, it always highlights in black! It also changes the color of the Ribbon Bar icon to show black as the default color.
It works as expected if I select the text, then click the Ribbon bar icon to Color Mark (i.e. it highlights in yellow).
I'm guessing it chooses black because that's the first option on the color list?
If it matters, I'm using the Connection Highlight feature to set the window background.
Good luck!
