I'm on 10.0.5.1710 and on one of my instances, I get the alert sound every time I click on a different SQL Window. I also get the alert sound when I launch a new window. I looked through all of the preferences and didn't find any setting for alert sounds. I don't have this issue on other instances, just this particular one. Any suggestions on how to disable this annoying sound?

I'm not sure what could cause this. Does this persist after restarting the instance or rebooting the PC?

Yes. I closed out all of my PL/SQL Developer instances and started up the one that does this and still had the same issue. I rebooted the machine and also had the same issue. It only happens with one particular database instance. It's possible that it's a local plug-in that's causing this.
