access violation

Any ideas how I get rid of this error when I try to log in to plsql developer
access violation at address in module ora805.dll. Write of address xxxx
It is preventing me using the product. I have tried uninstall and re-installing

Is ora805.dll part of a very old Oracle client installation? If so you could try downloading a newer one. I use the 10.2 client against a 9.2 database with no problems.

If you have multiple Oracle Homes, you can go to Tools > Preferences > Oracle / Connection, and select a home with a more recent Oracle version.
