I have noticed the same thing with "cut". But it is inconsistent, sometimes it's faster, sometimes it's slower. I notice it mainly in the PL/SQL window, but in SQL window as well. I thought it had something to do with code parsing, but that was just a guess. I have a fast machine so it doesn't...

I found out that it happens for me after I plug in external monitor. I have to reboot the machine to get it back to normal. But the "un-minimize window" workaround works. You can argue that it is hardware related, but this does not happen with any other software that I use, including old Windows...

I have been having the same problem since an earlier release (probably 9.0.1). There was an earlier post about this issue. Somebody solved it by installing the latest NVidia driver, but that didn't work for me. My workaround is to un-minimize the window then stretch it to maximum.
