Using PLS/SQL Dev version 6.0.5.931 and connecting to a 10g database I get the ORA-12154 error. I have 2 Oracle installtions on my machine but the support info states that I'm pointing to the right one. Any thoughts?

I have just downloaded PL/SQL developer and tried to connect to an Oracle database over the internet and get the following error ORA-06401 invalid driver designator. I know that i need SQL*NET but where do I get this, how do I install it, does it need an evironment variable etc? Can anyone help?
