I have the same problem with Detail dataset that was described before. But I have one more problem. When I create new field I have error message "Access violation ... in module VCL50.BPL". Then in the New Field dialog everytime I enter new character in the Name field I get the same Access violation error. The character appears in the Name field but does not appear in the Component field. So it actually allows me create new field but ...

I use C++ Builder 5 Enterprise. May be I had the same problem with DOA 3.3, I don't remember now.

The Oracle monitor is very, very useful thing !!!

We hope to release beta 2 next Monday (July 24), which fixes this bug and adds some new features. I have noticed the access violation in the field editor once myself in 3.4, it never happened in 3.3 though. If you have the exact steps to reproduce this, please let me know.

I moved back to 3.3 due to problem with Detail dataset and Access Violation in new field dialog disappeared. But now I can not use Monitor
