This topic has be brought up before. You referenced Oracle Note 414590.1.
I'm running 11.2.0.1. The patch references 9.x thru 10.2.x.
Also when I run the query: SELECT * FROM DBA_SCHEDULED_JOBS; from sqlplus (both 10g and 11g client versions), it runs without errors.
I receive this error in PSD when I select a job from the "Jobs" browser entry or run the query in SQL Window or Command Window.
Any ideas on what I can do?
I'm running: PL/SQL Developer Version 8.0.0.1483 01.60194 - 1 user license Windows XP Professional 5.1 Build 2600 (Service Pack 3)
Thanks - JR

This can only be an Oracle configuration issue. PL/SQL Developer merely sends the query to the server and gets this error as a result. Can you go to Help > Support Info, press the 'Copy all pages' button on this info screen, and paste this text into an e-mail reply?

In that case it seems that Oracle Note 414590.1 applies here.

I had this same issue. Upgrading the Oracle client fixed it.

I don't believe we've come to a conclusion on this error yet. I have PL/SQL Developer 8.0.3. My co-workers have TOAD 10.X and PL/SQL Developer 8.0.0. We recently upgraded our Dev database from 10.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.5. All of a sudden, when I query dba_scheduler_jobs or open the Schedule | Jobs node in the Browser, I get the dreaded ORA-01882 error. My PL/SQL Dev is using the oci.ddl thick client that came with InstantClient 11.2.
My co-workers are using slightly older versions of oci.dll.
So I'm almost as up-to-date as one can get. My co-workers are a version or two behind on things, but I'm the one getting the error and they are not.

Urg, I shouldn't have so rash, thinking the problem was with a later version of PSD. When I downgraded my client, pointing PSD to my 11.1 InstantClient oci.dll, the problem went away.
Don't have the energy to start an SR with Oracle. Hopefully someone's already found this one and got a fix started for 11.2 client.
