Hi,
I've checked the forum for like-minded posts and there doesn't appear to have been one lately so I can't annoy... much!

How about a linux version? Surely there must be loads of people out there using linux and hankering for a decent gui.... voila!!! PLSQL Developer!!!

I've found none better but unfortunately i've abandoned Windows altogether - too much like hard work for me. Settled on Gentoo and running PLSQL 7.1.1 under WINE. Works ok on the whole but there are a few bugs that i'm sure a full Linux release would cure.

Any plans for a Linux version in for the near future? Please say yes!

There are no short term plans yet. We obviously get requests for this, but it's not overwhelming.

Thats just because people don't like to bother you so they just go off and hope that one day you might feel your way inclined to helping out those unlucky enough to not be shackled by the horrors of Microsoft.

Ok, just thought i'd try. No harm in that, and for the best part Wine does seem to do the trick so i'll just quietly sit and wait.
Thanks

same here: I don't want to overwhelm you wink

Plus i have another pro app that prevent me to get rid of winstuff yet (as well as some old 3d games).

A bit like anyone of us I guess, I'll try to work on linux from next week. And definitively get rid of the windows partition next year...

there is no fork

Almost 6 years down the line - still no plans for a linux port?

Go on, you know you wanna!

Yes, please, a linux port.
But of course you would have to move to another technology.
After Borland's Delphi, C++ Builder, etc. I've seen Qt is the one to consider.
Just a proposal.
Then it would be easier to do one-in-all: Windows, Linux, Mac smile

Quite right!

Hmmm... maybe we need a poll to get an idea of how big a deal having a linux version would be....

We currently use PL/SQL on windows.
We have some employes on Linux and this will likely increase. So a port to Linx would be great since we love the product and hope to be able to continue using it.

Don't let Toad or other go there before you.
