What is the current plan on implementing normal functionality when working with double quoted identifiers? Most (all?) features of the IDE do not work with properly with such identifiers (i.e., create procedure "MyProcedure"....)

I REALLY thought the 7.1 version was going to have some improved functionality in this regard. Use of the beta has convinced me that nothing has or will change.

The features that don't work are so numerous I'm not interested in naming them all - but if there is any developer commitment to I will gladly go through and identify them. They are as obvious as an inability to drop an object so identified.

Frankly, it's not my first choice to use such identifiers, but they've been legal to use since forever - so I find it extremely peculiar that a leading PL/SQL IDE doesn't cope with them in an acceptable manner.

This lacking functionality is THE reason I have not been able to recommend Developer or to even institute it in my own shop universally.

So - what is the future of this glaring deficiency getting remedied? I can accept the answer that it's never going to happen, but I will start the long road to using another IDE that has already made it happen.

Thanks,
cleveridea

This is still on the to-do list, but not for 7.1.0.
