Hi, we are evaluating version 13.0.6 coming from version 11, so there are some questions and comments:

Ribbons can be deactivated, how can I do the same for the window tabs? The tabs are using space of two lines of code in a window, so I would like to go back to the former style. In addition, I liked the way to close the active window by clicking the x in the upper right.

good:

Color coding of table fields in the object browser.

Changing windows containing big packages now works quite fast.

Not so good:

Several tool buttons are looking as if they would be disabled (E.g. Search, case conversion), that's irritating.

When compiling a package, the hour glass is not displayed.

The ability to jump to a certain procedure in a package by selecting its name in the list to the left seems to be even more damageable than in version 11, it often doesn't work after simple code changes, even if there are no errors.

Well, those were some early impressions.
A solution regarding the window tabs would be very appreciated.

Greetings.

You can switch to the previous Multiple Document Interface by disabling the "Single Document" option in the "View" menu/ribbon.

We'll look into your other feedback.

Dear Marco,

Many thanks for your advice, it worked well.

Another finding: When reopening PL/SQL Developer, having had opened multiple windows before, sometimes some windows are reopened several times, that means that e.g. the same package will be opened in two or three windows.

Best regards.

I cannot reproduce this.

Are these packages opened from the database or from a file?

If they are opened from the database, are they all from the same database and the same owner?

If they are opened from the file system, are they all from the same directory and the same file name?

They are opened from the file system, and yes, they are all from the same directory and the same file name. If this should happen again, I will make a screen shot.

Hello,
I have an other appeareence question.

I replaced my old Win7 PC, with a new one, of course with Win10x64 .
Can I eliminate that color blend window title?
I tried noaero=1 in the params.ini , but has no effect.

With the default Windows 10 settings there is no blending. Can you right-click on the Windows Desktop, select "Personalize", select "Colors" and check if the "Title bars and window borders" option is enabled under "Show accent color on the following surfaces"? If it is enabled, disable it and try again.

Without Windows 10 accent colors enabled, the whole desktop is a big white mess, so, yes, it is enabled, because I want to see the active window title with different color, but the PL/SQL Developer window title is something like Windows XP style.

It's odd that you should get a "big white mess". Perhaps you can try to reset all Windows 10 desktop personalize options to default? It should look okay.

I mean, the standard windows scheme is white everywhere.

I tired to break that all white color, but PL/SQL Developor window header looks very strange.
