Situation:
Connected to a remote production database. (Not sure if I logged off or not).
Left the building and returned an hour later.
The background was gray, and the application title bar displays "(Not logged on) - PL/SQL Developer".
I started to close all windows, but suddenly the background turned green again (indicating that I was connected), but the title bar of the application still displays "(Not logged on) - PL/SQL Developer".
I closed the current focused window and the background turned gray again.
I noticed that the connection is checked in the connection list. (there's a green check under the yellow key).

So, I opened a new sql window. The background turned green again.
Title bar still insists that I'm not connected...

Logging off made the key and background gray and removed the green check.

Questions:
  • Is it possible that a SQL Window that has lost his connection tries to reconnect even after or during I logged off?
  • How comes that the state of PL/SQL Developer is not consistent? Title bar behaves different from background?

Version 12.0.0.1812(64 bit)
Multi session
Check connection is checked
-- Multiple Connections
only "Store recent history" is checked

Screenshot was already send when testing a beta release. This issue has not improved.

I'm not sure what could cause this, but we'll check it out.

Today I was connected again to production with a lot of SQL, Test, Command and Program windows.
The following scenario happened again:
  • Log off
  • The yellow key stayed yellow <- Looked it up in the connections and it should not be remembered
  • Close some windows to clean up.
  • Suddenly the connection was back! As seen on the background color, but not in the title bar.
  • Repeat ...

PL/SQL Developer 12

PS: I think that the program windows stay connected
PPS: When all the windows were closed, I reconnected by double clicking on the yellow key.
Opened a SQL Window
Logged off.

The yellow key turned gray...

Thanks for the information. We'll investigate.
