So I finally got around to upgrading from 11.0.5 to 11.0.6 (x64), and the installer replaced the default.ini file with a brand new file dated 2008/11/27. So thanks for that. I lost all of my preferences, because I kept them in the default profile. It looks like there's a backup in that directory, though I don't know what created it - changing my default preferences doesn't create a new one - but in any case, it's only a backup of the previous changes, not my current ones.

Why? Why do I continue to lose preferences and settings and files and whatever else every time I upgrade? This is behavior I'd expect out of a beta version written by a junior developer. So sick of it.

I'll apologize for being snarky later - right now, I'm furious.
